EHDC Planning

Election Day May 7th may be looming but the work of the Council, not least its Planning Committee, continues. Tomorrow the Planning Committee faces what is probably the biggest and most important planning application in the history of EHDC.

The application is a hybrid application in 2 parts: a. Outline consent for the demolition of MOD buildings and the redevelopment of Bordon Garrison and adjoining land and b. Full Permission for the creation of SANGs at Hogmoor Inclosure and also the Southern section of the new relief road.

The Planning Committee is meeting at the Forest Community Centre in Bordon starting at 6pm.  I envisage a challenging evening.

  1. The Planning Officers did a great job in explaining this very complex and large application to a well attended meeting. The public were attentive and were clearly intent on understanding the application and the issues involved.
The Committee supported the recommendation all knowing that there is a long way to go and that it is important to get it right for the people of Whitehill & Bordon.
